Which bodysuit style to choose?

What’s in a name…is it a popper vest, bodysuit or onesie?

We know the names are confusing so for clarification, popper vests and bodysuits are the same thing – an underlayer to keep your child warm and fastens over the nappy. KayCey garments are not onesies because they don’t have long legs to the feet.

Functionality

The great thing about KayCey vests is its multi-functionality. They can be used as a warm layer under clothes in winter or as a t-shirt in summer paired with a skirt or shorts/trousers. However you want to dress your child, the KayCey garment can meet most requirements of a child’s daily activities.

Styles

KayCey bodysuits come in a wide range of options to meet your childs need’s. Depending on the occasion or season there is a vest to suit.

The sleeveless bodysuits are both very practical and comfortable undergarments. They provide discreet protection and a layer of warmth for your child while also giving you easy access for changing nappies. The collar and shoulder area of our bodysuits are specifically designed so that it makes undressing almost impossible though does not restrict movement.

The short sleeve bodysuits are multifunctional. They are not only an undergarment but also great on their own paired with shorts/trousers or a skirt. No one will ever think it’s an undergarment!  Parents love the flexibility especially in warmer weather.

Short sleeves are great for children who wear braces as the sleeves give extra protection from rubbing, minimising skin chaffing.

Does your child wear a nappy and/or are they tube fed? All our vests come with a specially designed tube access making the lives of parents/carers just that little bit easier when it comes to accessing a PEG/Feeding tube…whether it be for feeding or the administration of medication, access is so much easier with the tube access vest and is an effective way of managing those difficult situations.

The access is ideal for any PEG/G-tube and supra-pubic cathethers and is designed not to be over the stoma so your child doesn’t tamper with it but still makes it very accessible for the parent/carer to access it.

  • Polo / Collared Vest

Our Polo or collared vests are great as an outer shirt while still performing the function of hiding the nappy and keeping wandering hands out of them. This style is great as a school uniform or just a smart shirt for your child.

Tips

Laundry markers are a great way to label your KayCey garments so they don’t get lost or mixed up in the wash. We have allocated space in the composition label of your garment to use a laundry marker to put your child’s name and never worry again about confusing one garment with another.
