Over the past couple of years Rebecca has been working on a new activity or hobby which is to learn languages that are different from her first (which in her case is English).
For quite some time now mobile phones have become one of the primary objects of society and living life. Nowadays just about every person (including myself) has a smartphone.
From childhood Rebecca has enjoyed building worlds and villages with Lego, forts and dollhouses with action figures, as well as train-sets. Thus it didn’t take long for me to embrace the current explosion of digital sandbox games including Minecraft, Fortnite, Portal Knights, Pixark etc.
Rebecca has been writing blogs for SpecialKids.Company for three years now. Often by means of trial and error Rebecca has come up with some stronger additions to mindfulness exercises for moments of higher stress or anxiety. It may sound ironic that exercises which bring her anxiety down involve her doing work (relating to that of her career) itself.
Rebecca talks about how smartwatches such as Fitbits and Apple Watches have quickly become household names all around the globe and how they have helped her with her anxeity.
There’s a lot of talk and occasional criticism about how much we’re intensely relying on our computer tablets and smartphones and the negative impact it's having on social skills. However, as someone with Autism my iPad is a very important device in regards to controlling my anxiety and enabling me to get more of my career work done.
